Queensland Amateur Championship

The Queensland Amateur Championship is one of Australia’s premier state amateur golf titles, managed by Golf Queensland. This event combines two stages: a 72-hole stroke play section followed by a match play championship for the top qualifiers. The typical field size is up to 128 men and 64 women, based on handicap eligibility (generally less than 4.0 for men and 8.0 for women). Entry is determined by order of application, with priority for those meeting performance standards set by Golf Queensland. The event annually attracts top state, national, and sometimes international amateurs.
