Description

The Phoenix City Amateur Championship is a 54-hole stroke play tournament organized by the City of Phoenix Golf Division. The event is contested over three days at multiple Phoenix golf courses including Grand Canyon University Golf Course, Aguila Golf Course, and Papago Golf Course. The tournament flighting is based on players' USGA handicap index, with the Championship Flight playing the longest tees, approximately 6700-7000 yards, while other flights play slightly shorter courses. The field is limited to approximately 156 players with a maximum handicap index of 15.0 for entry. Players qualify by holding an established USGA handicap index and submitting an entry before the deadline. Prizes are awarded to the top 30% of each flight mainly in the form of gift card values
