Pacific Northwest Mid-Amateur Championship

The Pacific Northwest Mid-Amateur Championship is an esteemed 54-hole stroke play tournament organized by the Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA) for amateur golfers aged 25 and older. The championship is played over three days, typically at premier courses such as Apple Tree Resort in Yakima, Washington. The field is limited to 66 qualified entrants based on USGA or Golf Canada handicap indexes, with entries open to members of PNGA member associations or by presidential invitation. Players compete over three rounds of gross stroke play, with a sudden-death hole-by-hole playoff used to break ties. Participants receive a hosted practice round, powered carts for themselves and caddies, range balls, tee gifts, and top finishers receive crystal awards and merchandise payouts. Caddies are allowed but host club caddies are not available. Past champions include notable players like Wyatt Brook (2025 winner) and consistent competitors from across the Pacific Northwest. The event runs concurrently with the PNGA Women’s Mid-Amateur.
