Description

The Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Men's Golf Championship stroke play portion consists of three rounds of 18 holes each, played over three days—typically Sunday through Tuesday—at a designated golf course such as Dalhousie Golf Club. All OVC teams compete in this 54-hole stroke play format, with the cumulative scores determining the standings. After the stroke play rounds, the top four teams advance to a match play segment on the final day to determine the overall conference champion. The stroke play rounds also determine the individual stroke play champion. Tee times usually start early in the morning, and team scoring counts the best four scores out of five players per round. This stroke play portion is pivotal as it sets team seeding for the match play and affects NCAA regional qualifications.
