Ontario Junior Players Invitational

The Ontario Junior Players Invitational is hosted by Golf Ontario and stands as one of the premier competitive platforms for junior golfers in the province. Traditionally, the event features three rounds (54 holes) of stroke play, played over two consecutive days. The tournament welcomes approximately 78 of the top junior boys and girls (U19) from Ontario, selected based on exemption criteria from previous performance and by application review—spots are filled according to competitive achievements and committee selection. All participants play each round with no cut, and the event is structured to simulate a collegiate-style competitive experience. Players can qualify either through automatic exemption based on prior results or by applying for entry, with pending applicants selected by the Tournament Selection Committee based on their tournament resumes. This Invitational provides crucial early-season competition opportunities and talent identification for junior athletes across Ontario.
