Description
The Oklahoma Stroke Play Championship is a key annual amateur golf tournament organized by the Oklahoma Golf Association (OGA). It is typically a 54-hole stroke play event held over three days at various premier courses in Oklahoma, such as the Shangri-La Resort in Monkey Island. The championship generally features a field of around 120 top amateur golfers from across the state, including collegiate players, high school stars, and accomplished amateurs. The format consists of 18 holes each day with a cut to the low 30 and ties after 36 holes, leading to a final round to determine the champion. The tournament often draws past state champions and notable players, making it one of Oklahoma’s premier competitive amateur events. The Senior Stroke Play Championship is held simultaneously as a related event.
