Description

The Ojai Senior Cup is a prestigious 54-hole senior amateur golf tournament held annually at Soule Park Golf Course in Ojai, California. It features two divisions: Senior (age 55 and older with a maximum handicap index of 6.5 to 7.4 depending on the year) and Super Senior (age 65 and older with a maximum handicap index around 8.0 to 8.5). Players aged 65 and above may choose to compete in the Senior division. The event typically fields top senior amateur golfers from across the United States and internationally, competing over three days of stroke play. Soule Park, redesigned by Gil Hanse following a flood-induced renovation, provides a challenging and scenic venue well regarded as a top public golf experience on the West Coast. The tournament is recognized as one of the nation’s premier senior amateur events and offers ranking points for various senior amateur golf associations. The Ojai Senior Cup also contributes to Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) Senior Player of the Year rankings with high points allocation.
