The New South Wales (NSW) Amateur Championship is the premier amateur golf competition held annually in New South Wales, Australia. First played in 1898, it is one of the oldest and most prestigious state amateur championships. The event is a match play format, featuring top amateur golfers who hold a handicap not exceeding 5.4 for men and 12.4 for women. The championship rotates its venue, and the 2025 edition is scheduled to be played at Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club and Lynwood Golf & Country Club from January 20 to 24. It is organized by Golf NSW, the governing body for golf in the state. The NSW Amateur serves as an important stepping stone for players aiming to advance to national and professional levels.
