Northern California Junior Championship
About
The Northern California Junior Championship is organized by the Northern California Golf Association (NCGA) and is part of their annual junior tournament series. The event is contested in a stroke play format, usually over 36 or 54 holes, and draws approximately 90 to 120 boys and girls ages 9–18 who have not started college. Players gain entry by holding a current NCGA Youth on Course membership and meeting handicap index requirements (generally under 4.1 for boys and 6.1 for girls), with more competitive juniors encouraged to participate in the Junior Tour of Northern California events. Registration is accepted online, and the field is determined by a mix of direct entry, performance-based qualification, and automatic exemptions for top players in designated categories.
