Description

The NewGiza Pyramids Challenge is a professional golf tournament held at the NewGiza Golf Club in Giza Governorate, Egypt. It is part of the Pro Golf Tour (PGT) and played over three rounds (54 holes) of stroke play. The event typically features a field around 120 players, including professionals spanning multiple countries. The format includes a cut after 36 holes to the top players, usually the top 40 professionals and ties, who advance to the final round. The NewGiza Golf Club’s course is a par-72, 7,100-yard layout designed by Thomson, Perrett & Lobb, set in a dramatic quarry landscape with scenic views near the Pyramids of Giza. Qualification is based on Pro Golf Tour membership and invites. The event offers significant prize money and ranking points that contribute to players’ standing on the Pro Golf Tour.
