Description

The Nevada State Mid-Amateur Championship is an annual 54-hole stroke play event open to amateur male golfers aged 25 and older who compete under the auspices of the Nevada Golf Association (which includes the Northern Nevada Golf Association and Southern Nevada Golf Association). The tournament rotates between premier Nevada venues in the north and south of the state, offering seasoned amateurs an opportunity to contest for state-level honors beyond the traditional “college-age” ranks. In recent years the event has showcased strong fields and competitive finishes. For example, in 2025 at Spanish Trail Country Club in Las Vegas, compatriot Craig Erickson claimed his second Mid-Am title, posting rounds of 69-68-69 for a 206 total. Across past editions, the championship winners list features veterans with multiple wins, reflecting both the quality of the competitors and the depth of mid-amateur golf in Nevada.
