Description

The NCGA Amateur Championship, run by the Northern California Golf Association, is one of the oldest and most prestigious amateur golf tournaments in the region. The event is played at Spyglass Hill and starts with 36 holes of stroke play qualifying; the low 32 players advance to a seeded match play bracket. The championship week concludes with a 36-hole final match. The tournament generally draws a field of 100–120 top NCGA member amateurs. Entry requires NCGA club membership and a qualifying Handicap Index, with players qualifying through various NCGA events or sectional qualifiers.
