Description

The Myrtle Beach World Amateur Gross Championship is a major amateur golf tournament held annually in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The tournament features 72 holes of stroke play conducted over four days on different championship golf courses, including popular venues like Caledonia Golf & Fish Club, Tidewater, and Barefoot Resort. The event attracts nearly 3,000 golfers from around the globe, competing in various gross divisions including Men’s, Senior Men (50+), Mid Senior (60+), and Women’s divisions. All players compete "straight up" from the same championship tee boxes without handicaps. Winners of each gross division earn an invitation to defend their title free of charge the following year. The tournament also includes a range of side competitions like long drive and closest to the hole, and culminates in a final championship round for division winners. The entry fee includes rounds of golf, cart rental, range balls, player gifts, and access to the "World's Largest 19th Hole" social events with food, drinks, and entertainment
