Description

The Mississippi Junior Amateur is organized by the Mississippi Junior Golf Association (MJGA), a division of the Mississippi Golf Association (MGA). The event is played over three rounds (54 holes) of stroke play for older age divisions, and usually attracts 80–120 junior golfers from around the state. Entry is open only to bona fide residents of Mississippi and MJGA members who are 18 years old or younger (through the summer following graduation from high school, or their 19th birthday, whichever comes first). Registration is open online without a qualifying tournament, but all competitors must meet residency and membership requirements.
