Description

The Matlock Classic is an NCAA Division II collegiate men's golf tournament hosted by Florida Southern College. It is held annually at Lone Palm Golf Club in Lakeland, Florida. The event typically takes place over two days with 36 holes of stroke play. Around 15 teams usually participate, predominantly from NCAA Division II schools. Teams consist of five players with the best four scores counting each round toward the team total. Qualification is by invitation extended to regional competitive programs. The tournament serves as an early-season competition for many teams and is held on a challenging par-72 course measuring about 7,080 yards.
