The Maekyung Amateur Championship is a prestigious amateur golf tournament held annually in South Korea and known for being highly competitive and a key fixture in the Korean amateur golf calendar. Since 2024, the tournament has adopted a 72-hole stroke play format over four rounds to enhance competition and better prepare players for professional stages. The championship offers the winner an opportunity to participate in an international competition, providing exposure and experience on a larger stage. The event is organized in conjunction with the Maekyung Open, Korea's notable professional tournament sponsored by GS Caltex.
