Description

The Kentucky Men's Amateur Championship, officially known as the Clark's Pump-N-Shop Kentucky Men's Amateur, is one of the state's most prestigious amateur golf tournaments. The 111th edition took place June 22-24, 2025, at Lexington Country Club, featuring a challenging 54-hole stroke play format. Warren Thomis claimed the title with steady play under tough summer conditions, finishing three strokes ahead of the field. The top 25 finishers and ties earned exemptions for the next year's championship, highlighting the tournament’s significance in Kentucky amateur golf. Entry Process: The Kentucky Men's Amateur Championship is open to male amateurs who meet the Kentucky Golf Association’s eligibility criteria, which include a maximum USGA Handicap Index requirement (typically 5.0 or less) and playing out of a Kentucky Golf Association member club. Entry is through online registration on the KGA website with a set deadline, and there may be exempt players who receive automatic entry based on past performance or other criteria.
