Description

The Kentucky Mid-Amateur Championship is a highly competitive event held annually at Owensboro Country Club. In 2025, the championship took place on August 18-19. The entry process for the Kentucky Mid-Am is open to male amateur golfers with a USGA Handicap Index of 5.0 or less, and players must have an active Handicap Index at a Kentucky Golf Association (KGA) Member Club at the time of entry. The entry fee for the tournament is $170 per person for KGA members, which includes golf cart and range fees. Entries open in early August, with the deadline typically around late August, and registration is conducted online. The tournament format is 36 holes on the first day, with the final 18 holes played on the second day, at which point the field is cut to the low scores to determine the champion. The event is a great opportunity for skilled amateur golfers to compete for the title and earn recognition within the Kentucky golf community. For more detailed information and to register, interested players should visit the Kentucky Golf Association's website or contact the event organizers directly.
