Kansai Open Golf Championship
About
The Kansai Open Golf Championship is a long-standing professional golf tournament held in the Kansai region of Japan. Established in 1926, it is one of the oldest professional golf tournaments in Japan and has been part of the Japan Golf Tour since 2009. The 2025 edition will be held from May 15 to 18 at Hino Golf Club in Shiga Prefecture. The format of the tournament is 72 holes of stroke play over four rounds. Typically, around 150 players compete, including top Japanese professionals and qualifying players. Qualification for the Kansai Open Golf Championship is mainly through the Japan Golf Tour's Order of Merit standings, invitations, and Monday qualifiers.
