KABAKA'S 31ST CORONATION ANNIVERSARY GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Kabaka's 31st Coronation Anniversary Golf Tournament is an annual sporting event held in honor of His Majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II's 31st coronation anniversary. The 2024 tournament took place at the Uganda Golf Club in Kampala and featured a week-long championship including multiple categories: children and parents, caddies, professionals, and amateurs. The main amateur championship was played over 54 holes of stroke play. This event attracts corporate teams, individual golfers, amateurs, and caddies, drawing significant local and regional participation. Notable winners in 2024 included Arthur Gwaku (male overall) and Lillian Koowe (female overall). The professionals competed for a prize purse and the prestigious Kabaka Green Jacket. Organizers included the Buganda Golfers Association with support from sponsors like Absa Bank and Crown Beverages (Pepsi).
