Jinja Ladies Open

The Jinja Ladies Open is an annual women’s amateur golf tournament held at the Jinja Golf Club in Uganda and forms part of the Uganda Golf Union’s calendar. The event is typically played over three rounds of stroke play, featuring both Silver and Bronze divisions to accommodate various skill levels, with a field size that can range between 60 to 100 participants from across the region. The format is individual stroke play and often includes additional prizes for subsidiary events as well as special awards such as longest drive and nearest to the pin. Entry is open to amateur lady golfers who register through the Golf Union or Jinja Golf Club, with spots allotted on a first-come, first-served basis and sometimes governed by handicap requirements. The tournament is sponsored by KCB Bank and supported by local golf associations, helping to promote women’s golf in Uganda and East Africa.
