Iowa Masters
About
The Iowa Masters is an invitational 54-hole stroke play golf tournament organized by the Iowa Golf Association (IGA) and sponsored by the Veenker Memorial Golf Course at Iowa State University. The event is held over three days, with 18 holes played each day, typically on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule. A cut is made after the second round to determine the field for the final round, ensuring a competitive finale among the top performers. The tournament usually attracts around 100 of the best amateur golfers from Iowa and the surrounding region, including state amateurs and senior amateurs. Entry is by invitation based on player performance in qualifying events, IGA rankings, and previous tournament results, making it a prestigious event within the amateur golf community in Iowa
