Description

The Hawaii State Amateur Championship is a prestigious 72-hole stroke play event held annually in Hawaii, traditionally at Pearl at Kalauao in Aiea. The 2025 championship took place June 5-8 and featured the state’s top male amateur golfers along with divisions for women and mid-amateurs. The tournament has roots dating back to 1928 and is renowned for its challenging conditions and deep competitive field. The 2025 winner, Tyler Loree, earned an exemption into the 2025 U.S. Amateur Championship. The event is organized by the Hawaii State Golf Association (HSGA), which is the governing body for amateur golf in Hawaii. For questions or more information, contact HSGA at info@hawaiistategolf.org or visit hawaiistategolf.org. The home course, Pearl at Kalauao, offers championship-level facilities including a recently renovated 18-hole course, practice areas, and clubhouse amenities.
