The Greenwood Junior Championship is a 54-hole stroke play AJGA tournament held at The Links at Stoney Point in Greenwood, South Carolina. The tournament features a field of 78 boys and girls ages 12 to 19, played over three rounds on a par-72 course playing to approximately 6,709 yards for boys and 5,934 yards for girls. Entry into the event follows AJGA Performance Star criteria for exemptions: Boys: Top 3 fully exempt; top 10 need 12 stars; top 15 need 8 stars; top 25 need 4 stars; and 2 stars to make the cut if applicable. Girls: Top 3 fully exempt; top 5 need 12 stars; top 10 need 8 stars; top 50% or make cut require 4 stars. The tournament includes an 18-hole qualifier awarding spots for boys and girls who qualify outside of exempt status. Players must confirm participation through the AJGA Player Center. The Greenwood Junior Championship regularly attracts top junior golfers including several past AJGA champions and college-bound players. It has received recognition for outstanding hospitality.
