Description

The Girls Junior Americas Cup is organized by a committee of team captains and host tournament volunteers. It is a 54-hole stroke play event played over three rounds, typically featuring teams of four players from about 18 regional junior golf associations. Each day, the team's three best scores count toward the team total, with the highest individual score dropped. Competitors qualify through their respective junior golf association’s qualifying events or selection criteria. The competition follows the Rules of Golf supplemented by a Hard Card for site-specific conditions. A practice round is usually included as part of the event. The tournament emphasizes team competition and sportsmanship.
