Description

Frilford Heath Golf Club's Blue Course, designed by Simon Gidman and opened in 1994, is an 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course measuring approximately 6,700 yards from the back tees. The course is known for its challenging layout featuring contoured, undulating greens demanding precise putting, bold and challenging bunkering, and a mix of par four doglegs and four par fives that face various directions, often influenced by prevailing westerly winds. The Blue Course blends American and English stylistic elements with tree-lined sections, streams, and open landscapes, providing a demanding but rewarding test of golf. It has hosted EuroPro Tour events and the Scratch Salver, a Ladies World Amateur Ranking competition. Frilford Heath Golf Club is set among 500 acres of heathland southwest of Oxford city and also features the Red and Green courses.
