Description

Since its founding in 1981 (originally known as the Doral Publix Junior Golf Classic), the First Tee Miami Doral Junior Classic has grown into one of the world’s most prominent junior golf tournaments. The event is played at the renowned Donald Ross–designed course at Trump National Doral‑Miami in Doral, Florida, and typically comprises three rounds (54 holes) of stroke play for the older age divisions, with younger divisions competing over shorter formats. Field sizes are large—past editions have seen over 600 players from 45+ countries in the 14-and-older and 13-and-under divisions. The tournament also features the “Adamonis Cup” match-play contest and serves as a major recruiting platform for collegiate golf coaches. Entry is through application, meeting junior golfer eligibility criteria (age and handicap index), and often includes recognized junior tournament points/standing as part of the selection process. The tournament benefits the First Tee — Miami mission to develop youth through golf and life-skills education.
