Description

The Finnish Junior Tour 1 is organized by the Finnish Golf Union and is aimed at junior players divided into four categories: Boys U16, Girls U16, Boys U14, and Girls U14. The tournament is played over 54 holes of stroke play across three consecutive days without any cut. The event follows the Rules of Golf set by the R&A and local rules as dictated by the tournament committee. The field is limited to a total of 156 players with reserved spots for Finnish players in each category, specifically 33 spots for Boys U16 and U14 each, and 15 spots for Girls U16 and U14 each. Eligibility requires players to be amateur members of an acknowledged golf club and meet specific handicap criteria: Boys must have a handicap of 14.0 or lower, Girls U16 up to 18.0, and Girls U14 up to 22.0. Tie-breaks for first place are settled with a hole-by-hole stroke play playoff. Qualification is based on handicap and membership status, with entries managed through the Finnish Golf Union's official tournament website. The tournament awards trophies and prizes to the top three players in each category, including championship medals for the top Finnish players.
