Description

The Finnish Amateur Championship – Erkko Trophy is organized by the Finnish Golf Union and held annually at Helsinki Golf Club in early August. The event includes separate men’s and ladies’ divisions with a combined field of 138 competitors (99 men and 39 ladies). The format is 54-hole stroke play across three consecutive days, with a cut after 36 holes reducing the field to the top 42 men and 18 women for the final round. Eligibility requires players to be amateur members of a recognized golf club, selected by national ranking, WAGR position, wildcards, and handicap limits (max 1.5 for men and 3.5 for ladies). The Erkko Trophy is considered Finland’s premier amateur event and a major fixture in the domestic and international amateur calendar
