European Team Shield Championship

The European Team Shield Championship is a golf competition established in 2015 for smaller and emerging European golfing nations that do not compete in the top two divisions of the European Amateur Team Championships. The 2025 edition was held from July 30 to August 2 at Pravets Golf Club in Bulgaria. Approximately 12 national teams, each composed of four players, compete over four days. The format begins with an 18-hole stroke play qualifying round followed by three days of match play comprising one foursomes and two singles matches per day. The championship runs alongside the European Ladies’ Team Shield Championship, providing competitive team opportunities for developing golf countries in Europe.
