The European Nations Cup – Copa Sotogrande is among Europe’s most prestigious men’s amateur team golf tournaments. Organized by the European Golf Association (EGA), it is held annually each spring at Real Club de Golf Sotogrande in Spain. The format is 72 holes of stroke play over four days, with national teams composed of four players competing for both team and individual honors. Each country selects its representatives based on amateur performance, ranking, and national selection criteria. The tournament draws elite European talent, with dozens of federations sending teams to compete for the continental title. Qualifying is by national selection through each federation’s high-performance or team program
