Description
The Daniel Island Invitational is a women's collegiate golf tournament hosted by the College of Charleston, held at the Daniel Island Club Golf Course in Daniel Island, South Carolina. The tournament is played over two days with 54 holes of stroke play—36 holes on the first day with a shotgun start, and 18 holes on the second day. The course is a par-72 layout, measuring approximately 6,206 yards. The event features around 14 teams including nationally ranked programs such as NC State, Charleston, Charlotte, Tennessee, Campbell, Yale, Virginia Tech, and Georgetown, making it a competitive early-season tournament. The 2025 Daniel Island Invitational took place February 24-25 with NC State winning the team title at 17-under-par. Yale University, one of the participants, viewed it as their season opener and an important early competition for building momentum.
