Description

The Coupe Frayssineau Mouchy is a historic French amateur golf championship organized by the Golf de Fontainebleau and affiliated with the French Golf Federation. Founded in 1927 by Henri de Noailles, Duc de Mouchy, the tournament has been predominantly held at the Fontainebleau Golf Club, one of France's oldest and most prestigious courses. It is a stroke play event played over four rounds since 1985, following earlier formats that included match play. The field usually comprises top amateur golfers from across France, typically around 40 players who qualify through stroke play rounds to compete for the final 36 holes. The tournament is traditionally held over the Easter weekend and is a major fixture in the French amateur golf calendar.
