Description

The Connecticut Mid-Amateur Championship is an annual men’s amateur golf event for players aged 25 and older, organized by the CSGA. In recent years, it has been contested over two rounds (36 holes) of stroke play, typically held on consecutive days at a select course in Connecticut (for example, August 25-26, 2025 at the Golf Club of Avon). The field is cut to the top 36 players and ties after the first round to determine who advances to the final round. Entry is open to amateur golfers who are members of CSGA-affiliated clubs, hold a valid USGA Handicap Index®, and meet the age requirement. Qualifying rounds may be used to fill the field—CSGA notes that the Mid-Amateur is one of its championships that may require pre-qualifying.
