The AJGA Colorado Springs Junior is a 54-hole stroke play tournament held at Cheyenne Shadows Golf Club in Fort Carson, Colorado. The tournament features a field of 96 boys and girls ages 12 to 19, with a 36-hole cut that typically reduces the field to the low 42 boys and 24 girls plus ties for the final round. The course plays roughly 7,167 yards for boys with a slope of 135 and a course rating of 71.5, and about 6,147 yards for girls with the same slope and a rating of 74.9. Entry for boys requires an initial AJGA Performance Star status of 15 or more to gain entry, with some boys admitted via Performance-Based Entry tiebreakers with 14 stars.
