Coca-Cola Junior Championship at Sugarloaf (Boys)

The Coca-Cola Junior Championship at Sugarloaf, held at Sugarloaf Mountain Resort in Carrabassett Valley, Maine, is a 54-hole stroke play AJGA tournament with a 36-hole cut. The event features a field of 132 boys and girls aged 12 to 19. The course plays approximately 7,178 yards for boys with a slope rating of 146 and a course rating of 72.8, and about 6,152 yards for girls with a slope rating of 137 and a course rating of 73.4. Entry into the tournament requires boys to have a minimum of 9 AJGA Performance Stars to initially gain entry, with some boys having gained entry with 8 Stars via Performance-Based Entry (PBE) tiebreakers. Girls require at least 5 Performance Stars for initial entry. Additional spots (7 for boys and 2 for girls) are available through an 18-hole qualifier held before the tournament at the same venue. Registration is mandatory before the event, usually the day prior or morning of the first round at the Sugarloaf Golf Club cart staging area. Players must bring a smart device with internet capabilities to use the Golf Genius app for official scoring. The tournament attracts top juniors from multiple states and countries, including past AJGA champions and college commits.
