Description

The Circle K Junior Championship is a 54-hole stroke play AJGA tournament held at The Pfau Course at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. The event features a field size of 78 boys and girls ages 12 to 19 with no cut. The course plays at approximately 7,175 yards for boys with a par of 72 and about 6,057 yards for girls, also par 72. Entry requirements for the boys' initial field are a status of 22 AJGA Performance Stars or more, though a few boys with 21 stars gained entry via Performance-Based Entry (PBE) tiebreaker. Girls require 32 or more Performance Stars for initial entry. Players must confirm participation through the AJGA Player Center. There are mandatory Junior-Am fundraising tournaments held as official practice rounds before the main event. An 18-hole qualifier is held with a field size of 78, played as stroke play, offering additional spots into the championship. All players are required to participate in one of two Junior-Am Fundraising tournaments as part of the event schedule. The tournament attracts competitors from 22 U.S. states and five countries. It includes many college commitments and highly ranked juniors in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.
