Chick Evans Junior Amateur

The Chick Evans Junior Amateur is organized annually by the Illinois Junior Golf Association (IJGA) and is open to junior players ages 14–18. The event features a combination of stroke play and match play formats: players begin with 36 holes of individual stroke play qualifying over two days, after which the low 32 boys and low 16 girls advance to single-elimination match play brackets. The tournament is typically held at a premier Illinois course, and the field size is around 100–150 competitors. Players qualify by being IJGA members and registering online within the age criteria; entry is first come, first served with additional criteria for match play advancement.
