The Carolinas Senior Amateur Championship is an annual marquee event open to male amateur golfers aged 55 or older who are legal residents of North Carolina or South Carolina and hold an active Handicap Index® at a CGA-member club. The championship is contested over three rounds (54 holes) of stroke play at a rotating venue in the Carolinas, typically with a full field of around 120 players. Competitors may enter via exemption or advance through sectional qualifying, and selection is governed by CGA’s eligibility requirements (including a handicap index cap of 9.9 or lower).
