Description

The Caribbean Amateur Golf Championship is the region’s premier team and individual amateur golf event, organized by the Caribbean Golf Association. The 2025 edition was played at Barbados Golf Club and featured three days of 18-hole stroke play (54 holes total) for both men and women. National teams from Caribbean countries—such as Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, and Barbados—compete in the Hoerman Cup (men) and George Teale Trophy (women), with around 10–12 countries represented and more than 100 top amateurs participating. Teams qualify through their national federation’s selection criteria, usually based on ranking, national championships, and recent results, fostering intense regional rivalry and high-level competition.
