Campeonato de Chile
About
El Campeonato de Chile is Chile’s premier national amateur golf championship, organized each year by the Federación Chilena de Golf (Chilean Golf Federation). The event is held at leading clubs such as Club de Golf Los Leones or Sport Francés and typically consists of four rounds of stroke play (72 holes), with a midway cut to determine the top-performing competitors who advance to the final rounds. This open championship routinely attracts 100–140 of the country’s best amateur golfers, including select international invitees, all of whom must hold a recognized amateur handicap to qualify. Entry is by direct registration through the federation, with acceptance based primarily on playing handicap and amateur status in accordance with national event guidelines. Qualification details and tournament regulations are published annually on the federation’s official website.
