Description
The Buffalo Hill Labor Day Tournament is a longstanding annual amateur golf competition held over the Labor Day holiday weekend at Buffalo Hill Golf Club in Kalispell, Montana. The format is a 54-hole stroke play event (three rounds) open to amateur players across multiple divisions (championship flight and flighted categories). The tournament traditionally draws a strong regional field including Montana-based competitors and visitors from neighboring Canada. Qualification is generally via open entry to eligible amateurs, with registration through the club’s tournament office; eligibility requires amateur status and often a valid GHIN/handicap index appropriate for the flight entered. The event has a long history (the 88th edition was held September 1, 2025) and is a highlight of the club’s tournament calendar.
