Description

The Bill Harvey Memorial Junior is a prestigious junior golf tournament in the Carolinas region, held annually at Colonial Country Club in Thomasville, North Carolina. The event is contested over 54 holes of stroke play, with two rounds played on the first day and one final round on the second day. Field size is large and elite for the junior level, attracting many of the top junior boys and girls from North Carolina (and beyond). Players qualify through open registration (for eligible juniors) and must meet handicap and membership criteria set by the associations—which often include being a member of TYGA, holding a valid Handicap Index, and registering through the event’s entry process. In 2024 the format expansion to 54 holes was announced to provide a more collegiate-style tournament experience.
