Description

The Big Island Amateur is a prominent annual amateur golf tournament held on Hawaiʻi’s Big Island, typically in mid-September at The Village Course at Waikoloa. The competition is contested over three rounds (54 holes) of stroke play. It draws a strong field of top regional amateurs, including men’s, senior and mid-amateur flights, under the governance of the HSGA. Entry is open to HSGA-eligible amateur golfers who hold a valid GHIN Handicap Index and comply with the age/flight criteria set forth in the tournament regulations.
