Description

The Austrian Stroke Play Championship is a prestigious national golf championship organized by the Austrian Golf Association (Österreichischer Golf-Verband). The 2025 edition is scheduled to take place in early August and typically features four rounds of stroke play played over four days. The championship usually fields around 141 competitors, including both men and women amateurs with qualifying handicap indexes (max 5.0 for men and max 7.0 for women). Players qualify through their membership at affiliated clubs, handicap requirements, and performance in qualifying tournaments or committee wildcards. Cuts are made after the second and third rounds to determine the field for the final rounds. The championship is conducted under the official golf rules and Austrian Golf Association competition regulations.
