Description

The Arkansas Junior Amateur Championship is a premier junior golf event in Arkansas, open to boys and girls under age 19. The competition is structured as three rounds (54 holes) of stroke play. The field typically includes approximately 60 boys and 30 girls, with a cut after the first two rounds to determine the final round field. To qualify, participants must be ASGA Junior Members, be a resident of Arkansas (or have approval by ASGA if non-resident with an Arkansas home course), and meet handicap index limits (for example: boys ages 14-18 must have a Handicap Index of 11.0 or better; boys ages 12-13 and girls ages 12-18 must be 18.0 or better). The event often attracts the state’s top junior golf talent and in recent years has earned recognition for enhancement in format and ranking status.
