Description

The Arizona Stroke Play Championship is the state’s premier amateur stroke‑play championship, administered by the Arizona Golf Association. The event brings together top amateur golfers from across Arizona (and often neighboring states) to compete over multiple rounds on a championship course, with the champion determined by lowest cumulative stroke total. Typically conducted as a multi‑round, medal‑play competition, the tournament emphasizes course management, consistency and scoring across all rounds and is staged at one of the state’s notable clubs or private courses on a rotating basis. The Championship serves both as a marquee state title and as a pathway to regional or national opportunities, with the Arizona Golf Association providing the official Notice of Competition, entry criteria, handicapping requirements and final results.
