Description

The Amador de Golfe do Brasil is the premier amateur golf championship organized by the Confederação Brasileira de Golfe (CBGolfe). The 94th edition is scheduled for July 3 to 6, 2025, and will be held at Clube de Golfe de Brasília, located in Brasília, Distrito Federal. The tournament features 90 competitors, with play consisting of four rounds (72 holes) of stroke play. Priority for entry is given to male players with a handicap index of up to 6, and female players with handicaps up to 12. The event is one of the most traditional amateur competitions in Brazil and includes additional team trophies such as the 13th Taça Mario Gonzalez and the 2nd Taça Elizabeth Nickhorn for pairs. The venue, Clube de Golfe de Brasília, is a historic course designed by Robert Trent Jones and is set against the scenic Lago Paranoá.
