Description
The Alabama State Senior Amateur Championship is an annual 54-hole stroke-play tournament open to male amateur golfers who are legal residents of Alabama and have reached the age of 50 by the opening day of the championship. For example, the 28th edition of the event was held May 16-18, 2025, at Musgrove Country Club in Jasper, Alabama. Eligibility for that year required a USGA Handicap Index® of 9.9 or lower at an AGA member club. The event is part of the senior-division competitive structure for Alabama’s amateur men, providing seasoned amateurs (50+) the opportunity to vie for state‐level honors and recognition.
