The Abierto Sudamericano Amateur, or South American Amateur Championship, is managed by the Federación Sudamericana de Golf and rotates hosting duties among top courses in South America, with the most recent edition in Chile. The event is played over 72 holes of stroke play and typically features more than 100 of the continent’s most accomplished amateur golfers, along with select international invitees.
